Technical Information


The chemical name for Gypsum is Calcium Sulphate Dihydrate

The incorporation of Gypsum into clay soils results in an improved soil structure, helping aeration and drainage and improving plant growth.  For heavy clay soils, an application rate of approximately 500 grams per square metre is suggested which can be applied by hand or by lime spreader.  For optimum results, the Gypsum should be thoroughly mixed with the top 5 cm of soil.

The calculated minimum content of nutrients (by weight): SO4 = 27%   CaO = 39%

Agricultural Gypsum is a CE fertiliser grade product obtained from naturally occurring mineral.

This product is available in 25Kg sacks and 1 tonne big bags.
