COATED EXPANDED PERLITE

Use: Insulation

Coated Expanded Perlite is a hydrophobic insulating aggregate.   It is a water-repellent, non-flammable insulating material which significantly improves the thermal performance of masonry walls and floors.  It is easily installed without special training or equipment and is ideal for new build, extensions and established properties.

Coated Expanded Perlite minimises heat loss in the winter and heat gain in the summer.  It protects against water transmission and wind driven moisture penetration and thus assures constant insulating efficiency.  Coated Expanded Perlite is inorganic and is therefore resistant to rot, vermin and termites.  It is non-combustible with a fusion point of approximately 1280°C.  The loose granules support their own weight within the wall cavity without settling.  Due to its free flowing nature, Coated Expanded Perlite seeks out and completely fills the smallest crevices within the cavity without bridging.

Our Coated Expanded Perlite is a hydrophobic free flowing lightweight aggregate produced and tested to BS EN 14316-1:2004 Thermal Insulating Products for Building – In-situ.  Thermal Insulation formed from expanded Perlite (EP) Product Part 1: Specification for Bonded & Loose-fill products before installation.
